Who Is Judas FeetWho Is Judas Feet

We're close friends who love playing our brand of folk and rock and americana music. Actually, 3 of us are siblings and the other 2 feel like it. So you could say, we're all family.

Our music is usually simple, but much of us is poured into each song. It reflects the homes where we grew up. It’s folk and rock from Texas. Our songs are meant to bring people together in the joy of music and art. We all go to church. The music and lyrics go beyond any faith or values subjected upon us and deeper into the very heart of who we are and, hopefully, into your heart as well.

Enjoy our music for what it is...us enjoying and expressing ourselves as we do what we feel we must. If we didn't put this music together, we'd burn from within.

Why the Name?
Judas is the man who betrayed Jesus to the religious elitists over 2000 years ago. Jesus had come "and preached peace" as the bible says, yet the more he did it, the more the political and religious elite hated him, so much so that they wanted him dead. Enter Judas. He struck a deal with the group for 30 pieces of silver and turned his leader over to them. Then, Jesus was crucified.

But, before the betrayal, Jesus gathered his 12 followers together in a small room. As the disciples entered, Jesus disrobed himself, took a towel and a bowl of water, and washed each man's feet to further symbolize that he came not to BE served but TO serve. They were to follow his example.

Judas' feet got washed that night. Why? To demonstrate the incredible grace and servanthood that Jesus' followers were supposed to perform as well, regardless of how others treat them....If only most Christians lived this way today.

We don't so much want to identify ourselves with Judas, we don't even want to preach about our Christian faith. Actually, we simply want to make the best music we possibly can. But in naming ourselves, we constantly remind ourselves that our feet, like those disciples that night (even Judas'), are in need of washing on a regular basis.
